Haunter
Project Brief: Create two feature film posters
I got in touch with the director of the Haunter film, matthew Crelley, to discuss what was expected. He provided still images from shots throughout his film as reference basis’ for what he wanted his posters to feature.
From there, I experimented with typefaces & colours that suited the horror film category within Adobe Photoshop. The horizontal poster design was well received from the first draft that was sent through, whilst the portrait poster design needed a bit more work.
Going back and forth, I sent through the above designs to get feedback which helped guide the overall design process and make the turn over swifter. There were other concepts Matthew wanted to explore with the portrait poster design, requesting an old film stock, grainy aesthetic which film posters such as super 8 or longlegs captured.
